Here is my 1st Hotel Report.

Hotel Kendov dvorec, May 2014

We're in Slovenia at Kendov dvorec Manor House. Mixed reviews on this one.

Very traditional, May 2014

Pluses: The hotel is a unique small and charming manor. The grounds are beautiful and inviting. The furnishings are interesting. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The buffet breakfast is lovely with cheese, meats, breads, fresh fruit, homemade jam, cappuccino etc. and it's included in the rate. It's an AH recommended property. The view out our window is picturesque, looking out at a valley and church in the distance. Our room (the largest and nicest) has a claw foot tub with a hand held spray.

Looks better than it works, May 2014

Drawbacks: the church in the distance rings long and loud at some random schedule. No nightly turndown. The beds are hard as a rock and lumpy. There is no stall shower. The hand spray is pretty unwieldy and it's hard for me to keep the water in the tub. I think I would have to give it a thumbs down for J.
