Sunday morning in Hvar: there's a cruise ship anchored outside the harbor, there are bus loads of people walking into town dragging suitcases behind them, it's brilliantly sunny and the temperature is promising to get into the upper 60s.

I went out around 7:30 and walked along the waterfront for a mile or so. While it was a bit chilly that early, it was really nice to be out, not have it raining or even cloudy, and just enjoy the air and the view.

Today really was very simple: go out and walk around, then come back to our hotel and rest a bit. Repeat as needed.
In the afternoon we climbed up to the Spanish Fort above the town. It's visible in the second picture above. The original fort was built in the thirteenth century after the Venetions took over and installed blinds, and rebuilt in the 16th century after an unfortunate gunpowder explosion destroyed the original. I have no idea why it's called the Spanish Fort.
